Our beloved Founder and Executive Director, whom most of you know fondly as Lisa, is among three finalists for an international award! The honor celebrates her contributions to improving the lives of women and girls. They are inviting friends and supporters to weigh in at the polls (online). We hope you’ll vote for her for this prestigious Ruby Award through Soroptimist International. She’s among candidates from North America, Central America and the Pacific Rim. If Lisa wins, Women’s Empowerment could receive a $5,000 donation!

According to Soroptimist, the award recipient should be a woman who:
• has worked to improve the lives of women and girls,
• has had a significant impact on the lives of women and girls,
• would inspire and encourage other women.
Of course, we’re biased, but we can’t think of anyone more worthy than Lisa! Please vote now, and share this email with your friends.
Join us in congratulating Lisa. She heads to Reno this Saturday to accept the Ruby Award at the regional level. We hope her next stop will be the federation award!
Finally, a special thanks to the Soroptimist International club of Greater Sacramento for nominating her!
