Gala 2010: A Celebration of Independence

A Powerful Achievement

On Thursday, September 30th, over 500 business professionals, philanthropists, and community leaders gathered to meet and celebrate the hundreds of women that have worked so hard with Women's Empowerment to reach self-sufficiency.

The Women’s Empowerment staff would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers and donors who made the event fun and meaningful. The results of the evening are a true testament to the power of generosity and compassion: a sold-out event and financial goals exceeded, fueling the fight to end homelessness. Because of outstanding community support, we raised $115,000 at the Gala! These much needed dollars will help us continue our renowned job-readiness program, the foundation for their promising future. And, the funds raised from Fund-A-Need will create jobs for our graduates in the WE Works program, ensuring that the cycle of homelessness and poverty is broken, for good.
